FINAL COMPILATION
No pictures or works are displayed because this project is covered by an NDA. The project will only be explained on how the work flow of the project came to be.
Brief
The following were the main lessons to be learned from the brief: - Interactive model display - Educational and simple enough for a typical driver who is unfamiliar with LRR - Simple setup and repeatability
The team worked alongside with Continental with Mr. Jonathan as their representative, being our client. At the same time the team worked with the students from engineering school. The goal of the project was to create an interactive model display that would make reduced rolling resistance clearly understandable to clients. The main points of the brief was to have an interactive model display, educational and simple enough for a typical driver who is unfamiliar with LRR.
Collaboration with Engineering Students
In the latter weeks of the semester, we were told to select one of the two engineering teams we had to work with from the start. We, the design team, were put in an awkward situation because of the overtly hostile and competitive vibe that existed between the two groups during the process.
The team took a while to choose between the two groups' ideas because they were both very sluggish to respond and had a lot of advantages and disadvantages. We had a lot of work to catch up on to meet team's deadlines when team finally decided on one towards the end of the semester. But because there was more friendly banter and open communication among the group team selected, it did make things simpler for team.
Work Progress
Research
The team started off by doing research on everything there is to know about tyres and Continental. The team dove into contextual research which were delegated through: old campaigns, target market, competitor analysis, company history, understanding tyres and Continental's product.
Insights
The team then worked on the survey and started to analyse the data from it. The team were delegated to analyse different parts of the survey to give information of what the respondents of the survey had answered.

The team's work slowed down after we finished our data analysis because the team hadn't decided which group to work with yet because we were still awaiting the engineering teams' results. Our decision-making process was rather drawn out, which ultimately resulted in a backlog. We arrived at our problem statement as a result of our insight discovery. As we worked on it, we ultimately decided to collaborate with Daniel's team because we had more opportunities to work on that rather than just branding and material with the other team.
We were able to move forward with developing a draft concept for our final submission by deciding which team's idea to work with and by defining our problem statement.
Tyre Mania and RR3- D3
The engineering team was still having trouble accepting the proposal on their end due to a number of reasons, including their own module requirements. Consequently, during our session, the lecturer had found a couple more elements and holes in our storyboard. Rather than waiting for the technical team, the lecturer advised us to stick to our own schedule and fill in the blanks with our own thoughts of how we believed it should work.
The team was then delegated to each one's tasks: Game, Game UI, Game Design, 3D Rendering. Collaterals which were: posters, brochures, leaflets, boards, buntings/banners and print ads.
After some consultation with the lecturer, the team had to come up with a key visual for the collaterals. I proceeded to work on the key visual then the rest of the team followed the design language of the visual.
The project was then finished and submitted for our final submission.
